Yellow River Performing Arts was founded in 1995 as a non- profit organization. Their first performance was at Chicago's Orchestra Hall, which sold out instantly. Due to the success of that event, YRPA was able to continue on.
YRPA has performed in hundreds of performances around the Mid-West area and is still active with over a hundred members. They specialize in traditional Chinese instruments, dance, and chorus, adding touches of their own style along the way.
Besides performing, YRPA also has held music seminars in many colleges in the Chicago area. For three consecutive years, YRPA has been recognized by the America Cultural Exchange Association as one of the top ten outstanding organizations in the Midwest for its active participation in the cultural activities.
In order to continuously improve the members’ performance skills to higher levels, several professional have been invited to join the YRPA as instructors. As a result of the hard work by all the members, YRPA is now an experience and influential art performing organization
YRPA welcomes all who are interested in the performing arts to join the group to promote the cultural exchange between the United States and China.
